HIIT And Negatives. And don't forget to breathe.
Three things I tried on my own over the weekend:
Happy Monday!
HIIT, or, High Intensity Interval training, which, in this case, I did for my push-up/dip workout.
Negatives, with which I'm utilizing to improve my pull-ups.
And breathing exercises, focusing on the diaphragm.
I'll go into all three in a bit more depth later on, I just wanted to jot this all down while it was still fresh!
Happy Monday!
'Twenty-Four Hours a Day' touches millions in recovery -- Hazelden
This is from a website about addiction and recovery but I think it can apply nicely to everyday life, especially if, like me, you sometimes have trouble living in the present moment.
"Anyone can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when you and I add the battles of those two awful eternities, yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives us mad. It is the remorse or bitterness for something that happened yesterday or the dread of what tomorrow may bring. Let us therefore do our best to live but one day at a time."
